Legacy Systems Analyst

The Role

To be responsible for the production of Analysis documents required for the delivery of changes to the core platform systems. To provide guidance and analysis support throughout the build, test and delivery stages of the assigned projects.

Key Accountabilities

- Investigation of the business area and processes to gain wide understanding of the scope of projects.
- Active in the selection and development of appropriate solutions, Identifying and resolving issues and other activities required to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Produce Systems Designs and related analysis documentation to the required standard and level of detail to satisfy the Business and Technology requirements.
- Work with the Resource Managers and Technical Leads to identify and plan the necessary tasks to ensure successful and on time delivery of project activities.
- Communicate effectively with other Project resources, and Resource Managers on progress of tasks and identification of risks/issues that may affect the smooth progression of the projects.

Experience:

- Relevant experience in an Analytical role in a financial transaction processing environment.
- Payment Systems and Cards Acquiring knowledge.
- Experience of Systems Analysis and design on large mission critical systems where quality deliveries are required.
- Experience of working within a team environment.

Technical Knowledge:

- Knowledge of appropriate Analysis and design techniques
- Competent at providing accurate estimates for all stages of large development projects.
- Able to understand Cobol Programs and understand the underlying functionality.
