Learning and Development Specialist - IT (12 Months

JOB PURPOSE:

We are currently seeking Learning and Development Specialist to deliver Corporate Enterprise Business Applications.

Applicants must have a good understanding and demonstrable expertise in analysing training requirements, designing and developing corporate training courses and learning materials, including online content.

This is an important role that will plan and drive the implementation of a significant project called My Business Contribution (MyBC). My BC is a critical HR project looking at redesigning the organisation's performance management process and will impact 50,000+ staff. The design phase of the project is nearing completion, however the implementation is being done in a phased manner over the next 2 years and will require active and expert project and change management skills. The design will however require to be reviewed during implementation and may require enhancements/changes

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Graduate in a specific area for specialist role Specialization in one of the following areas is preferred:- IT
- A minimum of 5+ years in a Learning & Development environment.
- Professional qualifications in HR (eg CIPD/City and Guilds), training, psychology or organisational development would be preferred. In area of specialisation.
- Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a cultural sensitivity to the local community would be critical for this role, together with the ability to influence diverse groups of people through excellent communication and presentation techniques.
- Experience of working in an environment aligned to international audit and regulatory requirements relevant to the area of specialisation.
- Ability to gather and analyse data, draw meaningful conclusions and write comprehensive reports on business situations and the performance of individuals.
- Demonstrate good project management knowledge use of project management and MS Office products.
- Demonstrated tolerance for ambiguity in a dynamic business environment, where priorities may change due to new initiatives and where a flexible, adaptable and responsive approach is critical to success.
- Thorough practical working knowledge of learning and development processes and methodologies and ability to design and develop innovative and effective learning solutions.

Experience delivering training on the following software packages is highly advantageous:

- MS Office 2010 and 2013
- SharePoint 2013
- MS Project 2013
- Business Objects 4.x.
