THE CLIENT sources generic training provision through the Civil Service Learning (CSL) portal but has a number of anticipated business-specific changes in the pipeline which will need to be supported by additional L&D specialist resource with a proven track record in L&D design and delivery. It is anticipated this requirement will be for 6 months until ongoing re-structuring and associated recruitment is complete. It is needed immediately to position THE CLIENT to meet forthcoming business demands. The assignment holder will be responsible for consulting with and providing L&D advice to THE CLIENT managers, providing support and guidance on sourcing appropriate learning in line with THE CLIENT business priorities and procurement protocols. In addition, the assignment will involve the design and delivery and/or facilitation of some L&D interventions. The assignment holder will also provide general support to the senior HR managers in the development of strategic documents from an L&D and OD perspective.

- Discussing and identifying learning and development needs
- Supporting management in the sourcing of learning solutions
- Designing, delivering and evaluating learning solutions
- Providing support to senior HR Business Manager ie contributing to projects where training is a consideration, OD strategy development

Key Skills/Experience

- Practical experience in the learning and development field with a proven track record in L&D planning, learning needs analysis, event design and delivery, facilitation, coaching and evaluation.
- Strong influencing and communication skills across all levels and grades.
- Ability to operate both independently and at a strategic level.
