Learning and Development Consultant - London - Financial Services

Learning an Development Consultant is required by a major Financial Services Regulator based in London, to manage the training logistics for a major new programme. The Programme will be delivering key training to new and existing  staff and transferees from a recent merger. The key purpose of the job is to manage the training logistics for the programme to ensure staff receive the right training in the right sequence and on a timely basis to be effective in the new operations.

(Training logistics encompasses identifying which of the courses needs to be run and when, what type of attendees should attend and how many, together with managing the booking of rooms, material production, trainer availability)

They required a Learning and Development (L&D) professional  to join the existing project team of staff, contractors and 3rd parties in order to design, plan and manage the overall training delivery logistic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Define and actively manage the integrated training logistics plan for delivery of the Programme training courses to support multiple divisions within the organisation. This encompasses the immediate need for training courses in February and March, and the longer term view from April to October 2014
- Manage the definition of training logistics requirements working with each business area and the recruitment and on-boarding teams of the Programme
- Act as a single point of contact with the L
- Ability to manage demanding stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Ability to self-manage and show good initiative to proactively identify potential risks and issues and resolve them accordingly.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Team player with flexible approach to problem solving
- Proven ability to work to very tight deadlines
