For one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, we are currently looking for an Expert Change Navigator

Start: March or April 2013
Length: 12 months + possible extension
Location: South of Brussels

MISSION PURPOSE:
* To be the Change navigators for several 'Lean' mini-Transformations and help the business transform and deliver on the strategic initiatives of Total Quality Culture and End to end supply chain
* To be an instrumental part of executing our strategy during the assignment
* To be training our internal novice change navigators to expert level during each mini-Transformation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Are co-responsible for the success of the Mini-Transformation with the Mini-T Leader
* Acts as a "catalyst of change" throughout the mini-transformation
* S/He acts as the coach-trainer towards one (or more) change navigator to bring them to expert level - s/he teaches them how to successfully run a mini-T (tools, tricks, behaviours)
* S/He is the eyes and the ears of the Mini-T Leader in one dept during the mini-T
* S/He contributes as part of the Change team to form a consistent story
* Before implementation, s/he brings experience and insights to the mini-T content and act as analytical horse powers to diagnose objectively the current state and propose challenging solutions to stretch the organization
* S/He brings challenge to the mini-T leader and the team in a manner that may leave them feeling uncomfortable, s/he helps the team members problem-solve and ignite continuous improvement in the work-cell
* During implementation, s/he develops the skills of Mini-T Leader and his N-1
* S/He consolidates knowledge and makes it available to others through our Knowledge management processes

KEY DELIVERABLES: (what must be achieved at the end of mini-T)
* Committed impact by the end of mini-T during the Design phase must be achieved
* Achieved Minimum level 4 (strength) in all dimensions of Change navigators capabilities (for the junior CN that you are training) - see CN evaluation checklist attached

Each expert change navigator will be integrated in wider team led by McKinsey senior experts and expect to work in full cooperation under their guidance and the unique methodology we are using. They will report daily to our senior change navigators (directors) and work together with them and McKinsey to deliver the mini-Ts and develop our junior change navigators

SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE:
Qualifications/Experience
* University/bachelor degree
* Previous operation role is a requirement
* Previous experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not mandatory

Participation in a previous Lean transformation change programme with McKinsey Lean transformation methodology is MANDATORY: Are experts in the mini-T process based on Mckinsey Lean change management methodology that they have learned and practiced intensely in another company or at McKinsey directly

Knowledge
* Good to expert knowledge of Lean-6 sigma tools and techniques
* Has experience and proven track record of successfully using some OE tools and change management techniques
* Fluent in French + English

* Capability to communicate at the floor and senior level
* Ability to influence others outside direct management
* Able to operate under instability and uncertainty
* Links operational performance and financial impact
* Ability to coach, motivate, and mobilize other change navigators and change agents
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
