Lead Technical Writer Job

LEAD TECHNICAL WRITER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Ramon, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Agile and Scrum experience
- DITA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, primarily Software Engineering and Quality Engineering, to produce and release accurate, high-quality documentation for consumption by our company internal technical customer base
- Write API, UI, administration, and installation guides, which may include developer and administration guides
- Use XMetaL as the authoring tool within a CMS under source control to create and structured content in DITA

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Seven (7) plus years of experience in technical writing position with proven ability to write quality documentation from concept to completion
- Two (2) plus years' experience documenting software in an Agile development environment
- Experience with Java, C++ and writing Developer Guides
- Developer to developer documentation experience

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Hands-on working knowledge of using an XML-based authoring tool preferred
- Ability to learn new technology quickly, experience in API or platform and services documentation is a plus
