Projektbeschreibung
We have a requirement for an On-Site Lead Technical Engineers for the period 15 October to 31 December, with an option to continue beyond this period. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST SPEAK FLUENT ITALIAN AND ENGLISH.
The role would be that of an On-Site Lead Technical Engineer - and you would be required to give technical direction to existing staff and in some cases, actually perform the activity of a network and server engineer. The On-Site Lead Technical Engineer will be required to progressively document and take-over the management of the IT Infrastructure to facilitate a transparent handover to the IT infrastructure support and management processes.
The On-Site Lead Technical Engineer will be charged with installing, supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure and operational services, and will be responsible for planning and responding to service requests, outages and other problems.
This may include:
- Granting and removing network access using Active Directory (network user administration)
- Managing the physical network directly and via 3rd party service providers
- Managing user incidents & requests relating to the infrastructure
- Maintaining and monitoring IT systems
- Building and configuring Servers
- Installing software, updating patches, firmware
- Undertaking backups and restores (creating back-up plan)
- Manage file storage
- Managing refresh, etc.
Primary objective:
- To have a senior systems engineer on site in Milan - expert in the following disciplines: infrastructure system analysis, solution design and management, Active Directory, networks, system security, Servers, VMWARE, CITRIX, Microsoft, perimeter security to:
- Ensure compliance
- Address actions and activities that the existing resources are not addressing
Purpose:
- To be a mitigation for the resource risk, to fulfil systems analysis and design roles for the current and new projects in France, to fill the knowledge/action gaps that the existing resources can't or don't do, and to proactively facilitate the compliance, migration and transformation.
Specific expected activities:
- Assist discovery
- Fully document systems - configuration, architecture, start-up and shut down procedures, processes, contacts (for call logging support)
- Asset management review - hardware, software, licence keys (on-site & off-site), etc.
- Backup monitor capacity (disks, RAM, CPU, networks, etc.), reporting
- Assist prioritisation activities
- Analysis and solutions design for projects
- Take-on of change control, patch management process, logical security, VPN migration, Internet browsing (PC & office) and security baselines
- Call logging
- Address DR requirements
