Lead System Engineer

A great opportunity to work for a worldwide financial institution who are looking for a Full time "LEAD SYSTEM ENGINEER" with excellent knowledge of Windows OS.

As a Lead Engineer you will oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of capturing and archiving solutions as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.

In addition to perform hands-on design, implementation and 3rd level support tasks you will:

* liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews

* work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles

* support the Project Manager with the creation and assignment of engineering work packages

* liaise with Project Manager to plan all engineering quality assurance measures such as design and code reviews, review of IT specification and other technical documentation

* liaise with IT Production to agree on technical documentation to be delivered and other operational requirements to be met

* ensure 3rd level support for the applications in scope

Responsibilities:

* Understand the partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue both in the project as well as in the productive environment.

. e2e software development life cycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components

* Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations.

Requirements:

. 10+ years' experience in similar positions and excellent technical and interpersonal skills.

. Excellent knowledge of Windows OS on client (WXP, Win7) and server (WSP - W2K8) side

* Knowledge of Windows software distribution and packaging mechanisms

* Scripting languages (batch processes, Perl, SQL, XML)

* UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience, experience as a UNIX system engineer

* Oracle product expertise, expertise in RDBMS modelling and DB development (PL/SQL)

* Exchange Server (2003/2007/2010) product experience

* Experience with storage and archiving solutions
