Lead Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) Job

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for a LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER (RUBY ON RAILS) to join our client in San Jose, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will be working on implementing design PSDs directly into Ruby on Rails templates predominantly specifically for the Alpha API Program, but you will be working on other applications within the environment as well.
- The templates and CSS/JS should be fully cross-platform independent, efficient and best practices should be used. Actively contribute to the overall design and architecture of HTML/CSS solutions and make sure we have a proper and standard foundation for our web applications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Very strong working knowledge of HTML, cross-browser CSS and semantic markups. Knowledge of cross-browser limitations and workarounds.
- Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript. Excellent communication skills. Strong technical management skills - be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Nice to haves Experience with Agile/TDD and Front End testing frameworks.
