ROLE: Lead Software Engineer

DURATION: 6 months

LOCATION: Coventry

RATE: up to £300 a day (depending on experience)

Software Engineer / Linux / C, C++ / Contract / 6 months

I have an exciting contract opportunity for a company based in Coventry.

The purpose of this role is to lead a team of software developers in activities related to the development of new product lines and implementing enhancements to existing products.

DUTIES INCLUDE;

- Develop the software architecture from the system requirements
- Create the specification and software design
- Work closely with the System Architect and Project Manager/Scrum Master to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Develop software in C / C++
- Mentor less experienced Software Engineers

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE;

- Working in a telecommunications environment would be an advantage
- Experience working as a team leader
- Extensive C/C++ programming
- Linux
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems
- Experience using bug tracker devices
- Ability to capture and further development requirements
- Past experience in using the intel DPDK is highly desirable
