Currently seeking an SC cleraed Lead Software Delivery Engineer, to be based on site in London, on a 6 month contract to be confirmed by the client.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ROLE AND THE TIME SCALE AND REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY THE CLIENT, CANDIDATES HAVE BEEN ASKED TO HOLD CURRENT SC LEVEL SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR THIS ROLE.

ROLE WILL BE IN VIP SUPPORT TEAM IN LONDON

The candidate will join a highly skilled team of engineers providing face to face support to Senior Civil Servants and Government Ministers on a client site.  Working in the clients office the candidate will sit in an open plan office and be approached to provide immediate support for a wide range of IT issues - therefore the successful applicant will be flexible with a pragmatic approach, break/challenge the rules and think outside the box.

Key role
To ensure that both the VIP support service and LHQ environment are managed at a level deemed as acceptable by the client.
To manage a team of specialists, ensuring the service provided is delivered to the agreed levels (as per contract)
To ensure that the LHQ infrastructure is available during contractually agreed 'working times'
To ensure that any issues identified are resolved within the shortest possible timeframe
To oversee any changes to the infrastructure to ensure continuity of business.
Accountable for teams actions or failures
Requirement to build a strong working relationship with the client and other service providers.
To liaise and negotiate with senior colleagues and client.

Responsible for introducing innovative change into LHQ environment.

Role will be working as part of a shift pattern and be expected to join an on call rota providing 24/7 support. Candidate will also be expected to work overtime/weekend work when required.

Manage area(s), customer(s), or team(s) of HP employees with well defined, limited scope, including directing daily work activities/priorities, people recruitment and development, cost management, and direction-setting within the area of responsibility.

Coach and mentor employee direct reports. May coach and mentor non irect reports as needed. Manage Focal Point Review (FPR) process for HP employees. Manage team and individual performance.

Monitor and ensure organizational goals and contractual commitments are met (eg budget/cost, service availability, responses, reports).

Advise management and peers on matters of importance to area(s) of responsibility. Propose/influence direction-setting.

Resolve/monitor customer escalations as appropriate.

Establish and manage relationships with customer subject matter experts and appropriate customer management, with an objective of maintaining and building the business. Directs and Controls activities for:

In addition candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self motivated and the ability to work under pressure. The candidate should be smart, intelligent, flexible and be able to work alone or as part of a team. All candidates must be skilled in all Desktop engineer work, such as profile resets, machine rebuilds, software downloads, remote access and VPN etc .
