We have a fantastic opportunity to work for a large Utilities client in Warwick as a Lead SHE Auditor for 12 months.

The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of Legislation, Regulations, management systems, and control frameworks in relation to Safety, Health and the Environment.

Duties:
- Conduct Safety (including Process Safety), Health and Environment risk based audits across the various businesses and operations to identify risks that may impact the achievement of business objectives.
- Provide recommendations to drive effective and efficient controls and processes, leveraging best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support the delivery of the schedule for the annual audit programme.
- Schedule audits with clients based upon assigned responsibilities in fulfilling the audit plan.
- Deliver assignments to time, cost and quality targets.
- Prepare and develop audit protocols and terms of reference for each audit conducted (particularly more complex audits).
- Assess complex SHE environments and develop effective and value added recommendations.
- Report findings to management on audits conducted.

Essential Skills:
- Strong audit knowledge and experience with ability to apply and modify complex audit processes.
- Thorough knowledge of Legislation, Regulations, management systems, and control frameworks in relation to Safety, Health and the Environment.
- An in depth knowledge of SHE related risks.
- Knowledge of safety, health or environmental issues in the Petrochemical or Utilities sectors.
- Extensive experience of leading and delivering SHE audits and drawing out root causes and findings
- Computer experience with database, spreadsheet, word processing and audit management software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish business relationships with key stakeholders, and proactively develop and maintain a network of contacts amongst middle/senior management.
- A highly proficient communicator who can express SHE risks in a language to enable understanding and who has the credibility in negotiating and resolving issues with senior management.
- Resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and risk control at all levels of the business.
- An established high performer with proven track record for professionalism, objectivity, and delivery of results.
- Proven capability to develop new or enhanced processes.
- Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills, combined with conceptual thinking and the ability to see patterns or trends.
- Impact and influence and the ability to adapt approaches in consideration of the audience.
- Ability to maintain independence and objectivity, in addition to the ability to reach sound judgements based upon objective evidence.
