Lead Service Architect

Background
Our public sector client is currently carrying out a re-procurement project of nation system/service components. They are recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect for a 4 month contract. You will be responsible for leading a large programme throughout the planning and delivery phases which will specifically focused on Implementing Service Architecture and leading the team. This post is based in central Leeds (there may be some travel but this won't be frequent).

Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture - specialist advice, requirement definition, architecture definition, service solutions, assurance of supplier solutions, supplier solutions, supplier liaison, analytical thinking and stakeholder management
- Service Architecture - define, capture and assure the service architecture (combination and tech and functional requirements)
- Knowledge and experience - experience working on large scale, complex service architecture programmes.

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
- Provide specialist advice on service architecture to the programme teams
- Solution architecture - lead in the architecture development and assurance of a specific application
- Requirements definition (identify and document non-functional requirements)
- Assurance of supplier solutions
- Supplier liaison (act as a routine "technical" contact point between the organisation and supplier)

Skills/Experience Required
- You must be able to demonstrate that you have provided strategic IT guidance to senior internal and external IT and business staff.
- Have played a leading role in architecting Service Architecture for large and complex systems - Demonstrate TDA or EA responsibility for large programmes of work with specific focus on transition
- Experience in developing technology road-maps for complex areas
- Have led teams (ideally 10-50 people)

Formal Qualifications Required
- Desirable - Degree or equivalent higher education qualification and TOGAF certified
