JOB TITLE: Lead Safety Case Assessor LOCATION: Cleator Moor CONTRACT: 12 Months + ROLE OVERVIEW: As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, a requirement has arisen for a Lead Safety Case Assessor to be responsible for the production of nuclear safety case documentation and assessments of small and large projects for nuclear build/refurbishment projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lead Safety Case Assessor will be responsible for producing nuclear safety cases and meet the high demands which are a result of the accelerated decommissioning programme. This position will also involve conducting nuclear safety case risk assessments, identifying engineering controls and develop safety arguments for use in nuclear safety cases which will include defence proportionality and ALARP. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should hold a degree or equivalent in a scientific or engineering discipline and have experience of safety case production and HAZARD and risk assessments. Candidates should also have experience within the nuclear or other highly regulated industries (O&G, Pharmaceutical etc.) Candidates should have experience in the following areas but not limited to: * Radiological Safety Assessment * Criticality Safety Assessment * Safety case periodic reviews * Safety Case development including PSR, PCSR, PICSR, PACSR, HAZANs * Decommissioning * PMPs * Hydrogen safety cases * Value Engineering studies * Process/Plant Design Optioneering Candidates should be SC cleared, DV clearance would be beneficial although this is not essential.
