Lead Reservoir Engineer

My client is recruiting for a Lead Reservoir Engineer to join their Subsurface team based in Aberdeen, working as part of a multi-disciplinary asset team, the person will have a dual role in providing discipline support to the asset teams and co-ordinating subsurface activities within their area of responsibility. The Role * Provides a wide range of technical support, technical advise/guidance and leadership to the asset team and, as appropriate, project/operations teams. * Co-ordinate and lead Subsurface activities within the defined area of responsibility. * Supports the development of technical skills and knowledge within the team by openly sharing technical knowledge and expertise. * Contribute to subsurface peer reviews * Develops highly positive relationships, and inter-faces effectively, with other teams and external parties * Develops a good understanding of financial/commercial aspects of work activities. * Provides technical input and evaluation support relating to the award of contracts and supplier agreements. * May be required to make visits offshore for technical meetings and/or to enhance onshore-offshore relationships/communications * The person is expected to be flexible and undertake additional duties commensurate with the overall responsibilities of the job, and that are within their competence, when required Requirements * BSc (minimum 2.1) in Geoscience/RE/PE or related discipline * MSc in related discipline * Previous experience in a reservoir/petroleum engineering role within a challenging asset management environment * Proven ability to undertake important projects and/or highly complex assignments/tasks requiring the application of highly-developed technical skills and knowledge without supervision * Good commercial awareness/understands project financing/cost control principles * Good awareness of e.g. legislation, licensing, fiscal issues, relevant to the oil and gas industry * Proven relationship-builder with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams * Experience of supervising/leading technical teams If this role is of interest, please get back to me as soon as possible.
