Lead Project Manager - Regulatory Change/Business Readiness - 6 Months

LEAD PROJECT MANAGER - REGULATORY CHANGE/BUSINESS READINESS - 6 MONTHS - HALIFAX

A top retail bank based in Halifax currently requires a Lead Project Manager to join a Regulatory Change programme and provide Business Readiness support for an initial 6 month period.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting into the Programme Manager, the role will be accountable for delivery of the 2016 payments account changes to comply with the regulation. Our client is looking for a high calibre candidate with experience leading change across a wide ranging and complex business, managing a small team as well as sometimes challenging stakeholders. How the candidate deals with complexity/ambiguity and works through issues with stakeholders will be important, as well as how they fit within the team.

Specific responsibilities will include:

- Working with business teams to agree and manage delivery plans across the project
- Tracking milestones, presentation & escalation of risks and issues, chairing project management groups and inputting to steering groups
- Working as part of a large programme delivery team, directing a small project team
- Readiness and implementation planning
- Managing the relationship with key business stakeholders

KEY SKILLS

- Project management experience ideally in Retail financial services.
- Business readiness and implementation readiness experience
- Managing complexity/ambiguity and taking colleagues and the rest of the business through issues with stakeholders will be important
- Experience managing the customer and colleague side of change
- Plan management using Microsoft Project
- Stakeholder engagement & management at a range of levels
- Ability to quickly integrate and build relationships at all levels
- Risk and issues management
