Lead Process Engineer

To manage and co-ordinate the discipline activities within a study, ensuring the technical integrity of designs undertaken by engineers and designers under his/her control

To carry out professional engineering activities in a highly competent and efficient manner and ensure that the technical and safety integrity of the engineering is maintained while completing the tasks within allocated time

To be aware of and adhere to the Aker Solutions values, operating system and processes including PEM and AKiMS

Responsible for preparation of CTRs and for weekly reporting and management of progress against the CTRs
Co-ordinate the assigned discipline engineers/designers within the group ensuring adequate staffing, technical quality and timely work performance. Assist in recruitment of discipline manpower as required
Ensure the co-ordination of the work with other disciplines
To ensure that the work allocated is completed in compliance with Line Managers requirements including work of others in team
Ensure project deliverables are generated via AkiMS where applicable
To provide guidance and leadership in technical matters and to ensure that his group are aware of and are working to current engineering standards and procedures
Review and check the work of others
Ensure that discipline project files are prepared and maintained in accordance with project procedures
Ensuring that all Engineers, Designers, and CAD Operators are fully acquainted with the appropriate use of AKIMS and PEM
To coach less experienced members within the team to assist with their development
Carry out single and multi-discipline checks and reviews

Have demonstrable experience in all aspects of offshore Oil & Gas Process Engineering design including both topsides and subsea facilities
Prepare and check Process Deliverables including calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets and study reports
Prepare study process simulations using HYSYS
Ensure compliance of the design activities within Aker Solutions procedures and all relevant statutory regulations, codes and standards
Ensure that all workscopes are fully defined ad in accordance with the clients requirements
Ensure recognition of changes to scope of work and preparation of Change Requests as appropriate
Review the work carried out by personnel in the team for accuracy, technical quality and fitness for purpose utilising own experience and PEM
Review documents and drawings produced by the group and ensure that single and inter-discipline checks are carried out in accordance with company/project procedures and PEM
Approve discipline documents including basis of design reports
Apply for deviations to standards where applicable via the Supervising Engineer
Responsible for the development and progress f their discipline/function
Responsible for the preparation of documents, deliverables and calculations including input to workpacks for construction and commissioning
Apply experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions

Educated to degree level in engineering discipline
Associate or Member of Professional Engineering Institute
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer

Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
Conversant with appropriate technical software
Aware of latest technical developments
Current Ofshore Survival Certificate.
Current Offshore Medical Certificate.
Ability to estimate, plan & execute work effectively
Abreast of latest relevant technical developments within the oil & gas industry generally
