Lead Possession Planner - West Midlands with travel

Amoria Bond are searching for a Lead Possession Planner for an exciting project running until at least January 2015 with probable extensions up to 2016. The successful Lead Possession Planner should have extensive knowledge of the Primavera suite of solutions to include P7, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Project. This fantastic opportunity is for a globally renowned client, with possibilities of extensions for the best candidates.

The successful Lead Possession Planner should have experience of delivering the following:-

Experience of planning/project control within large scale multidisciplinary projects - preferably within the rail industry.

Expert use in Primavera suite of solutions to include P7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project

Project Planners can expect to fulfil a number of duties including:

-Interface with all key stake-holders to ensure effective operational planning and reporting within the project

Management of additional works and variation requests.
-Ensure effective reporting to the Planning Manager of status and recommended strategies to respond to identified risks and opportunities.
-Ensure all KPIs and progress data are shared with key stake-holders.
-Liaise with the Subsystem Managers, the Technical Managers of each subsystem, the representatives of partners and subcontractors acting on the field
-Implement the project scheduling procedures at OPC level
-Define and update the detailed execution planning (TRIP, Gantt, Excel sheet of the program of activities, etc) at OPC level
-Arbitrate date changes with the Construction Manager and the Technical Operations Manager
-Provide inputs for the weekly and the monthly progress reviews
-Coordinate regular progress meetings between the different entities acting on the field (including partners, subcontractors and suppliers if needed)
-Support in construction progress meetings
-Ensure co-ordination with the Project Managers
-Propose and coordinate corrective actions for reducing risks of delay, maintaining floats and improving time control
-Distribute reports, meeting minutes, corrective action plan and planning updates to the OPC team, to the Subsystem Managers, the partners, the subcontractors and the client upon contractual requirements.
