Lead PL/SQL Developer

LEAD PL/SQL DEVELOPER

6 MONTHS CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

For this position, the hiring managers are looking for candidates who can come in and take on a more of a leadership role. Must have previous experience leading a team or project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the requirements analysis and detail design of Object Oriented software applications
- Analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements
- Develop and support new software applications
- Design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements
- Contribute to software development process standards
- Develop Oracle PL/SQL procedures and packages
- Develop technical specification documents
- Support and enhance existing programs and modules
- Participate in code reviews
- Assisting Product Support with production issues
- Thoroughly understand all the technical aspects of relational database design and data modelling

REQUIREMENTS:

- Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum eight years of experience in systems analysis and programming, addressing unique issues of architecture and data management
- Minimum five years Oracle development experience required
- Knowledge and experience of all aspects of the software development process
- Strong Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL skills
- Previous SQL tuning experience required, database tuning a plus
- Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Unix operating system
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
- Strong communication and technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of Object-oriented Modeling, Analysis, Design, and Programming
- Experience working in integrated product development team environment
- Experience with coordinating small projects a plus
- Experience with data modelling a plus
