Lead Piping Designer

Yoh has a long-term contract opportunity for a LEAD PIPING DESIGNER to join our client in the Seattle metro area, WA.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute lead level piping design expertise on an immediate oil sands project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce overall piping design, plant layout, isometrics, and pipe support drawings for oil sands project per the client's needs.
- Check other designers work and provide lead design capabilities in AutoCAD 3D, Bentley AutoPLANT and/or SmartPlant.
- Design components or portions of systems, and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them.
- Use CAD equipment and/or 3D graphic tools: Gather information, make studies, perform calculations, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal.
- Coordinates design criteria with engineering, tooling, material, and planning group in accordance with contractual specifications.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ten (10) plus years of Piping Design experience within heavy industrial industries: oil sands, refinery, oil and gas, water processing systems beneficial.
- AutoCAD 3D with BENTLEY AUTOPLANT OR SMARTPLANT EXPERIENCE IS required
