Lead Mechanical Engineer

I have an excellent new opportunity:

My client are a globally renowned engineering company, whose expertise is in the manufacture of specialist steel products.

Thanks to their success on the market and a modernisation of their internal structure the company's Cumbria site now require 2 x Lead Mechanical Engineers to join their team
At this site they design, manufacture, test and commission waste storage, handling and decommissioning equipment, shield doors and gamma gates to industry quality standards. From a single lifting beam or shield door to a fully integrated handling system, they can design and manufacture a range of bespoke steel equipment.

The role:

This position will involve leading a small project design team, thus liaising with the end cleint, suppliers and internal production teams. Hands on design would also be a must.

The ideal candidate will be able to boast the following skills:
- 2D&3D Design
- 5 Year experience + (Lead role)
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Steel, fabrication, machinery background would be useful

This is a Permanent role based in Cumbria offering a competitive salary.
