Lead Mechanical Engineer

NRL Opportunity; LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER - Glasgow.

Our client currently has an urgent requirement for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to be based in Glasgow on 12 month contract. (Pharmaceutical / Chemical plant experience preferred)
Require an experienced chartered engineer and be able to demonstrate understanding in the execution and management of EPC projects for the pharmaceutical and chemical related industries. This will have been gained in a contractor or operating company environment, extensive experience of design experience is required.
The ideal candidate should be:
* Be able to demonstrate a track record in the design, specification and engineering of Pressure Vessels (PD5500 / ASME VIII), Heat Exchangers (TEMA), Storage Tanks, Pumps and proprietary equipment. Be computer literate and have working knowledge of software and databases.
* Shall have the ability and be required to generate technical requisitions and develop through all stages of enquiry, clarification and order, to full vendor drawing and document reviews for conformance with specifications and standards.
* Should have a previous working experience, leading and supervising a group of mechanical engineers of mixed experience and capabilities.
* Must be motivated and self-sufficient together with ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of identifying and developing project wide design deliverables with familiarity / interpretation of appropriate Client / national / international industry standards.
