PURPOSE OF JOB
Description:
Following a company restructure an exciting opportunity has developed for a Manufacturing/Production Team Leader within a diverse team. The role would involve leading a multinational team of production engineers to control all production documentation and liaise with new and established manufacturing facilities within Europe to assure equipment price and quality. This is a great opportunity for a diligent and technically competent individual to join a strong team at a leading Pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Skills and Experience:
*Qualified to 2:1 Degree level in Mechanical Engineering. Exceptions may be made in certain circumstances where a candidate excels in other critical areas.
*Pressure vessel design experience, preferably ASME VIII, PD5500 & PED. Ability to undertake calculations to a high standard is mandatory.
*Proficient in 3D SolidworksWord, Excel, Outlook.
*Diligent individual with strong organisational and communication skills and ability to be adaptable and make decisive contributions with in a professional environment.
*A good knowledge of manufacturing techniques and equipment (Lathes, Milling, TIG, MIG, Carrousel), practical experience preferable.
*Great opportunity to travel mainly within Europe. Valid driving licence required.
Key Responsibilities (Production Leader):
*Mentoring a team of multi-national colleagues to implement company procedures and technological advances.
*Generation of pressure vessel calculations for submission to a third party inspector.
*Controlling all regulatory documentation for pressure vessel manufacture.
*Utilising contract controlling documentation (Specification, General arrangement, Process Flow, Engineering Strategy), to create 3D models, detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for production. A strong emphasis is placed on having a commercial awareness and the ability to design for manufacture and assembly.
*Generation and control of manufacturing quality plans to assure the equipment quality. Perform and/or assist colleagues to perform interim inspections during equipment manufacture in accordance with an agreed Quality/Testing plan.
*Develop standard manufacturing procedures to control production timescales and quality.
