My client, a large consultancy, is looking for a Lead Java Developer immediately for a 3 month contract opportunity in Espoo, Finland.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT Software engineering and in Java development: understands web services, Application Server development in different operating systems. Must have very good knowledge of source control systems, Java SDK tools, Java unit testing and good Java programming practices. Solid track record of successful web service development in Java & Unix environment. Experience in programming of systems using Oracle databases. Very good knowledge of SQL and Embedded Oracle database programming. Very good experience of Unix and Scripting in Unix. Very good experience of deploying systems to production. Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts like, TCP/IP, load balancer, server, switch, Router etc. Experience of using WDSL. Experience in Agile scrum.time, Basic knowledge of software development in .NET environment and Basic knowledge of software deployment in .NET environment.

The ideal candidate will also have Basic knowledge of MsSQL database system, Familiar with Hadoop database system and Familiar with Teradata data warehouse system. 

The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in System design in Java, Unix, Tomcat, Oracle environment, System development and testing in above environment, System design, development and testing in integration above environment to .NET environment, Participating to improve current software engineering practices, Planning and participating in deployment of new features to production environment, Tracks all defects and fixes bugs within defined timeframe by consolidating, prioritizing, analysing defects/bugs and making the necessary code changes, Help other developers to build well performing and maintainable systems, Follow the documentation process and adhere to the coding standards as agreed. Support concept and architecture work.
