LEAD JAVA DEVELOPER

LOCATION - DALLAS, TX

We are looking for a Java developer to participate in implementation of Back End components for NG (Next Generation) automotive service delivery platform.

Successful candidate would be responsible for:

- Design and architecture of the solution that should be scalable, robust, highly available with Throttling and Fault tolerance capabilities leveraging the latest technologies
- Documenting the product backlog and planning the spring backlogs as per the project plan
- Configuration, deployment and support of new releases, and patches provided by offshore development team in a virtualized cloud-like pre-production (business hours) environment and production (non-business hours) environments; preparing release documentation.
- Conducting RCA (root cause analysis) and troubleshooting activities in production and staging environments: work with onsite testing resources on reproducing the issue, code review and analysis, logs analysis.
- Support end-to-end and user acceptance testing, including but not limited to generation of test data, help in emulation of different business flows, close cooperation in identifying gaps and potential issues.
- Daily cooperation with offshore development team in Agile/Scrum process on new status of new features and fixes, code review, technical discussions of implementation of the new functionality.
- Frequent interaction with customer stakeholders, architecture and qualification teams, and other teams involved in the platform delivery.
- Ability to coach and mentoring other team members

Applicants should be able to quickly learn new technologies and architecture approaches; read and understand code provided by others; triage issues in Real Time and provide RCA within short timeframes. Sense of ownership and communication skills are required for that role as well.

Required

- Experience working with following frameworks and technologies: JMS, REST/JSON Web Services
- Good understanding of messaging and system integration concepts. Experience developing event-driven solutions is a big plus
- Advanced knowledge of multi-threading concepts is a plus
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or similar) is a plus

Platform technology stack consists of:

- Java
- Spring Framework (Core, MVC)
- REST/JSON Web Services
- JMS
- Caching Framework (Redis)
- Hibernate/JPAa
- Tomcat, JBoss
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Unix/Linux as a user (experience working in console terminal is required)
- Java Multithreading is a big plus
- Oracle SQL is a plus
- MQTT protocol knowledge is a plus.
