Lead IT Systems Test Engineer/Lead STE

Our direct client is seeking a Lead IT Systems Test Engineer for a long-term contract positions (2-year contract and further extensions are likely). We are looking for individuals familiar with planning and executing test engineering activities across the software development life cycle. Our client is seeking a Senior level Software Test Engineer (STE) who will lead the analysis and implementation of testing solutions for a business unit's existing applications with very complex business or technical problems. In addition, this person will help develop the testing strategy for a very large project that will replace many existing Legacy systems with a system built on modern tools and upgraded technology. Finally, the candidate will handle broad-based problems that are strategic in nature and have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of their platform. Must have at least 10 years of related work experience in system testing, which includes strong working knowledge of software applications, software development life cycle, computer programming and testing methodologies.

Overtime: straight time 

- 10 years of related work experience in systems testing, which includes strong working knowledge of software applications, software development life cycle (SDLC), computer programming and testing methodologies
- Must have strong testing experience (test planning, test methodologies, test cases, test scripts)
- 6+ years of automated testing (QTP is preferred)
- Solid experience using Quality Center
- 1+ years C# programming
- 4+ years of Object Oriented Analysis and design (OOAD)
- 4+ years of Client Server experience
- Ability to identify risks and potential defects, unfinished or partially developed software components, or systems
- Functions in a test lead role for small to medium complexity testing efforts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with others at all levels
