Lead Instrument Technician

Progressive Global Energy has been tasked with recruiting a Lead Instrument Technician. The position is on a staff basis and the salary will be £64,000. This is an offshore role starting with a 2/2 rotation in Hamburg and moving to a 2/3 rotation in the North Sea later in the year.

Detailed below are some of the responsibilities of the role:

- Ensures correct and accurate completion of all maintenance data and reports
- Liaises with the relevant onshore support engineer(s) and vendor reps
- Attends the weekly maintenance planning meeting and reports on the execution of the work, advising if work has not been completed and rescheduling requirements
- Responsible for the supervision of vendors and contractors carrying out maintenance activities pertaining to their discipline scopes
- Raises the relevant permits following agreement with the Maintenance Supervisor on work priorities
- Prepares all documentation for Instrument, systems and communications equipment for breakdown and maintenance schedules
- Maintains the vessel control system, the DCS, all offshore communications equipment, electronic and navigation aids and other marine electronics

The ideal candidate will have previously worked as a lead technician before. Having offshore experience is essential as well as having a maintenance background.
