Lead Installation Rep (LIR)/Substation

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for all aspects of installation, installation performance and installation tests on the construction of a new 345 kV GIS substation and a new 138 kV substation, including the installation of two new Auto Transformers and work on several associated transmission lines (66 transmission poles & wires).
- Supports plant walk downs for constructability input.
- Reports planning and installation schedule impacts to Project Management for impact assessments.
- Estimates, monitors and controls installation costs.
- Assures installation activities are within engineering, quality, design, cost, schedule, industrial safety and other project objectives.

SKILLS

Required to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 15 years experience in project installation activities.

Contractors will be knowledgeable in all aspects of their assignments (construction practices for substations and transmission lines) to verify conformance to the project design documents and utility standards.
