Position: Lead Infrastructure Engineer
Location: MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Manchester, North West
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 PA depending on experience

ROLE:
The IT department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. The department is responsible for resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to system diagnostics, plus enhancing and developing the IT provision extended within the business. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will receive assistance from the first line Support Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems
- You'll be responsible for the Microsoft Exchange environments plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software.
- You'll be exposed to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.
- You'll develop the IT department and implement appropriate, efficient and cost effective systems and procedures
- You'll ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- First/Second line or helpdesk experience providing desktop, server and network support
- MCSA certification or a similar Server administration certification
- Windows Server support, maintenance and configuration
- System backup and recovery
- Active Directory support, maintenance and configuration
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Setting up, configuring and maintaining laptops, desktops, tablets and mobiles
- System security upgrades and configuration
- Customer facing support and satisfaction experience

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- MCSE or higher certification
- A+ or Network+ certification
- Understanding of software design and programming
- Experience within a team management role
