Lead Environments Engineer - £650/day Banking My client, a leading tier 1 bank in London, Canary Wharf is looking for a Lead Environments Engineer to join their team for a rolling 6 month contract. Role: Lead Environment Engineer Rate: £650 per day Location: London - Canary Wharf Duration: 6 Months rolling. The successful candidate with be responsible for: * coordination between the production support, testing and engineering teams * manage platform deployment globally on each environment * ITO platform stability * urgent platform changes (ITO and software) * working with and coordinating off-shore team Major Challenges: Fitting into and integrating with an established, complex grid based project working to tight deadlines * Enabling the build of the target state DSL architecture in time and quality to meet future on-boarding requirements * Supporting specific source on-boarding activities in current state architecture in line with project delivery timelines Essential skills: * Good knowledge and experience of the following § Familiarity with service-oriented environments § Running on and off-shore delivery teams § 24x7 operation cycles, follow the sun, development and production cycles * Linux (including BASH scripting, SFTP, scheduling software, monitoring) * Hardware (including networking, SAN/storage) * Databases (Oracle 11+) Candidates with up to 1 month notice will be considered.
