Lead Engineer - Interior Trim

Lead Engineer- West Midlands
Amoria Bond are looking for a Lead Engineer initially on a 12 month contract basis.
Our client is a large automotive manufacturer based in the West Midlands.
The successful Lead Engineer will have a number of years of automotive experience at a large OEM or Tier 1 supplier, specialising in Interior Trim. Ideally the successful Lead Engineer will have experience with and have a good understanding of most aspects of interior trim such as trunk, headliners, pillar trim and centre console.
The successful Lead Engineer will have worked as a lead engineer before and will be expected to direct a team of anything from 3 to 20 engineers working on the launch of a new interior design for a vehicle. It is critical that the successful Lead Engineer has experience with man management as well as project management and be able to demonstrate leadership and delegation.
The successful Lead Engineer must be commercially astute as they will be dealing with both the customers and suppliers on a regular basis, looking at programme cost and contributing to cost down proposals.
We are looking for a Lead Engineer who can manage problems and provide solutions without guidance.
The contracts are initially 12 months but are likely to be extended depending upon performance and workload. The agreed rate per hour is competitive and Dependent on individual experience.
