Lead Electrical Power Engineer (Industrial/Plant Facilities)

Yoh has a FOUR (4) YEAR CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for a LEAD ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEER (INDUSTRIAL/PLANT FACILITIES) to join our client in BAYTOWN, TEXAS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- With little instruction, performs ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING FOR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES INCLUDING LOW, MEDIUM AND HIGH VOLTAGE DESIGN RELATED TO SUBSTATION REPLACEMENT PROJECTS.
- Specify switchgear, transformer, high voltage Switches, and coordinate vendor drawings.
- Create electrical equipment arrangements, grounding design, lightning protection, schematic diagrams, lighting, and material takeoffs.
- POWER ENGINEER/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER WILL apply NEC to design including raceway sizing, cable sizing, and hazardous area considerations.
- Prepare calculations as required to support design.
- Must be able to supervise groups of engineers and designers to support project goals.

JOB QUALIFICATION:

- 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE MINIMUM IN PERFORMANCE of engineering of electrical power systems for industrial facilities.
- This person will need to have good experience in ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION IN INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES, specifically experience with VOLTAGES FROM 1KV UP TO DISTRIBUTION VOLTAGES SUCH AS 15KV, 69KV AND 138 KV.
- Ability to lead and monitor design/drafting of others - MICROSTATION,(2D AND 3D) AND AUTOCAD experience helpful.
- Able to assemble estimates and work to control budgets.
- Able to PERFORM EFFECTIVE FIELD SURVEY.
- Experience with SMARTPLANT ELECTRICAL IS A PLUS.
