Lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Engineer

Projektbeschreibung

Duties:

* To oversee and undertake day to day operational tasks to ensure the operation functions effectively in EIA areas. Effective planning and scheduling to undertake preventative maintenance work is imperative as is the undertaking of any pro-active work as determined by Best Practice and company initiatives.

* Review the MAXIMO System daily, setting the teams work priorities. Work within the spares management process. Awareness of the Environmental Permit for the site(s) and the operating conditions and limits within it. Attend the daily Site production meeting each morning and address any electrical/ instrumentation/Automation issues that occur on a daily basis in conjunction with the team. Lead/supervise and develop a team of employees and contractors. Provide EIA Technical support to operations as necessary. Ensure safe systems of work are employed (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work and PJHA etc.). Work with the clients systems to monitor and record the electrical team's hours. Electrical duty holder (permission to switch HV). Actively participate in the clients behavioural safety program with a minimum of 2 observations per month. Provide EIA Technical support to the out of hour's electrical call out team.

* Plan, resource and supervise any additional labour when required, i.e. during shutdown periods. Ensure adequate resource availability during normal and after hours. Complete regular site audits and input defects into the MAXIMO System. Promote a culture of continuous improvement for the team. Maintain the library of technical information ensuring it is up to date. Schedule and deliver training as required. Undertake planning and scheduling for the current time, 1 week ahead and 2 weeks ahead utilizing the MAXIMO system effectively, PPM based. Monitor the quality/safety of the work completed ensuring it is to a high standard. Implement the planned and preventative (EDM) strategy on site.

* Support the roll-out of site agreed Best Practice works and project implementation. Develop job plans and risk assessments with the team for all work. Facilitate reliability improvement work.

* Plus any other duties as assigned

* Working within an industrial manufacturing environment
* Physical effort required lifting and dexterity required to undertake work required at time.

Experience and Background:

* Engineering time served craftsman with formal electrical/instrumentation engineering qualification.
* 17th Edition IEE Regulations
* Hold certification for any CBM technologies at level 1 Training in RCM & RCA
* NVQ level 3 electrical maintenance or equivalent experience
* Electrical duty holder (permission to switch HV)
* Good knowledge of EIA Maintenance work flow process and activities
* Must have experience working on industrial instrumentation i.e. flow meters, temperature probes, automated valves etc.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
* Experience working with or establishing a team.
* PLC troubleshooting experience - Siemens S5, S7, Texas instruments
* PLC programming experience - Siemens S5, S7, Texas instruments
* SCADA knowledge - Wincc / wizcon/PCS 7
* Ability to be a team leader.

* Strong communication and organizational skills.

* Capability to read, interpret and manually update technical documents, such as:
* OEM maintenance plans
* Electrical schematic drawings
* P&ID loop drawings
* Configuration and operational manuals.
* Basic computer literacy, including the capability to operate standard email, spread sheet, word processing and employ web-based programs, including those used for lubrication scheduling and oil analysis functions.
* Understanding of Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) technology concepts as defined in all Level I Bodies of Knowledge.
* Communications protocols - Profibus etc
* Certified to perform lockout-tag out procedures.
* Ability to calibrate instrumentation field devices.
* Expert knowledge of electrical & instrumentation standards/ procedures.
* City & Guilds 17th edition regulations qualification
