Lead Devops Engineer

AWS DevOps engineer needed for a start up in London to lead an AWS migration utilising Puppet and Jenkins. This is a great opportunity to work with a small team in a fast growing company.

Responsibilities
- Working on Automation/CI/deployment tasks
- Continually improving security
- Investigating AWS making appropriate use of AWS and non AWS services
- Introducing auto scale
- Optimizing code and configuration
- Keeping software and OS versions patched and up to date
- Championing automated testing
- Ensuring resilience
- Delivering performance at every level of the stack
- Implementing tools for monitoring errors/logs/performance
- Evaluating new DevOps Tools and techniques

Requirements
- High level of competence in AWS
- Linux (CentOS, Apache)
- Puppet
- Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins)
- Knowledge of Beanstalk will be valuable
- Grunt and Node are also favourable, though not essential
- Coding ability with backend PHP and Java script are favourable, though not essential

This role will also include responsibilities of training the current development team in maintaining the technology at the end of the DevOps engineer contract. So good communication skills and ability to lead are crucial.
