Datawarehouse Lead Developer/Mentor sought for a 3 months contract opportunity based in Copenhagen/Denmark. This is a project witin the Banking/Capital Markets sector.
Common Component is a central Datawarehouse in Clients IT, retrieving, holding, and presenting trades and other data from 40+ systems and sources.
The warehouse an Oracle based solution on very large databases. The department is in a process of renewing the toolset; usages of ETL and BI tools are parts of the new setup.
Assuming a Leading role and working with and across the teams in the Common Components, you will drive the establishment of ETL flows, as well build-up a dimensional warehouse.
Additionally you will mentor and guide colleagues on good practices and recommend sign, performance tuning.
We are looking for a dedicated expert modeler with comprehensive Datawarehouse analysis and design experience working with various modern data modelling techniques, and for who metadata, data lineage and slowly changing dimensions are natural concepts. You are able to apply your strong theoretical insight practically and hands on. You have worked with and have thorough understanding of modern software engineering and development methodologies, as well as the entire life cycle of software. Fluency in oral and written English is a prerequisite. You hold at least a master's degree in engineering, computer science or have other relevant background. Fluent English or Danish language is required as well as eligibility to work in Denmark.
