Lead Desktop Support Consultant

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DESKTOP SUPPORT CONSULTANT to join our Client in Pittsburgh, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for providing strong technical support and strong supervisory skills as a team leader for multiple locations.
- Provides support to end-users for PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, Installations and device imaging.
- Support end users on a variety of issues, usually of medium to high complexity.
- This person will identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the daily operational objectives are being maintained by the core team, ensuring that SLAs are met and that quality targets are consistently achieved.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good understanding of Windows XP/Windows 7 issues.
- Experience providing Imaging of Laptops and Desktop PCs.
- Ability to update device bios or drivers.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of providing desktop support in a corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with PC software and hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to respond to a wide variety of end-user hardware, software, and operating system needs.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7/Server. 2003/Server 2008 operating systems and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook 2007/2010).
- Demonstrated knowledge of PC computing technology, IP Networks, and remote support tools.
- Understanding of the components within LAN/WAN networks to include network connectivity and remote access technology.
- A good understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP in a LAN or WAN environment.
