Lead Deployment Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced and highly skilled Deployment Manager to lead a deployment team on site at our client site based in Canary Wharf London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right blend of skills and experience to join an established team and manage the upcoming deployment.

The project requires someone with strong management skills who possesses the technical understanding that will ensure the deployment runs smoothly. You should be comfortable with all facets of the build, logistics and rollout of a large scale deployment and have experience of this type of engagement within a financial institution.

EXPERIENCE

- The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infrastructure along with an excellent technical knowledge of most standard PC applications and operating systems.
- You will be responsible for the direction and management of activities for installing, distributing, tracking and controlling physical assets in the infrastructure.
- A minimum of five years' experience in working in the roll out of hardware, application, operating system & server upgrades, with a focus on OS migrations.
- You will also have experience in managing large scale OS roll outs across multiple sites for high volume users

RESPONSIBILITIES

- As the Deployment Manager you will manage the Pre-Deployment (Build, Logistics & Rollout) & Post-Deployment Teams (Floorwalkers & Remote Support),
- You will provide direction, planning, coordination and reporting for all asset management activities related
- You will assist in developing and managing the receiving of assets and ensure that the they are delivered to their correct locations in accordance with an approved asset deployment plan
- As Deployment Manager you will be required to design and deliver end to end deployment/1st, 2nd and 3rd line support workflow systems and processes.
- Manage 3rd line technical escalations and support for Microsoft Windows based environments,
- Business engagement is vital to this role as you will be liaising with the business to identify logistical and technical requirements
- Creating statistical analysis, RCA and MI for use by stakeholders of all levels
- Develop strong working relationships with all program managers and key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility and respect.

SKILLS

You will possess excellent stakeholder engagement abilities and equally strong management skills. Strong communication skills are essential - written, verbal and presentational.

You will be required to have proven Windows 7 deployment experience with an understanding of a complex financial business structure and the demands of such business in terms of privacy and quality of deployment.

Experience of working in a fast paced and challenging environment is vital to the success of this role, as is the ability to identify, improve and effectively govern the required policies, procedures and standards currently in place.
