Lead CQ5 Developer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES As a direct report to the designated code based practice area, the candidate will have full responsibility for technical development and decisions on the coding approach inclusive of setting individual priorities for each member of a matrixed development team. This includes: ? Responsibility for managing developers on a project. This role works closely with the Technical Project Manager to execute on delivery plans. ? Monitoring of day-to-day activities of the project development team and ensures work is according to best practices and Technology coding standards. ? Active monitoring of risks to code based delivery, working closely with our Enterprise Architects to find solutions to gaps in technical direction. ? Proactive identification of opportunities for code based improvements ? Coordination with the Development Operations team to ensure our development environments meet the needs of the development community. ? Coordination with Quality Assurance Team for test planning and execution SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB Supervisory responsibilities ? Direct: N/A ? Matrixed: 520 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ? Strong technical credentials with 8+ years development experience, ideally with some of that experience in a management capacity. ? Handson experience with server side technologies, primarily Java ? Handson experience with Continuous Integration practices ? Experience with Adobe CQ ? Experience with Elastic Path ecommerce platform a huge plus ? Extensive experience with services based architecture and strong REST API background ? Established track record of designing and developing simple solutions to complex problems Experience with relational as well as new approaches to data storage (i.e. NoSQL) ? Knowledge and experience in implementing large scale commercial web applications ? Comfortable working in a fast paced multi task environment ? Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences both technical and nontechnical ? Coach and mentor technology talent Formal education or equivalent ? Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or IT related field ?
