Lead Contract Support Engineer

Projektbeschreibung
Job Purpose
* To supervise a team within the UK Cranes & Lifting Contracts Department to ensure that service is provided to clients which meets safety, quality, financial and customer satisfaction requirements
* Provide Leadership and guidance to Contract Support Engineers on technical, resourcing and contractual matters
* Essentially to supervise and lead contracts in the claims departments as well as for offshore mechanics.
Relationships
Directly Reports to: Business Delivery Manager
Close working relationships with: (Internal) Engineering, Remote Engineering Team, Offshore Personnel, HR, Finance, Logistics
(External) UK Cranes customer(s), Regulatory bodies, Critical Suppliers
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
* Provide guidance and supervision in the preparation of the OPEX and CAPEX budgets for customers and the ongoing tracking.
* Supervision of preparation of detailed work plans and schedules
* Support CSE's during annual leave
* Awareness of teams customer requirements and key issues
* Manage workload within department by planning and allocating activities to the team
* Provide Technical Support to CSE's and Clients
* Provide mentoring and development plans for team
* Ensure statutory compliance with LOLER, HSE, Performance Standards, Safety Case, etc.
* Ensure all operations are carried out within defined budgets
* Participate in client audits and industry work groups
* Management visits to client installations to ensure safe operations
* Participate in investigations and carry out root cause analysis
* Liaise with Clients to ensure appropriate service delivery
* Provide monthly reports on KPI's, revenue and forecasts
* Daily supervision of Contracts department from a technical, contractual and resourcing viewpoint
* Manage performance of team and offshore personnel
* Deal with any employee issues effectively with support from HR when required
* Ensure competent resources in place to deliver contract requirements, participate in interviews
* Ensure clients billings are provided in time, accurately and in the appropriate format
* Track any resulting queries and respond quickly to resolve issues
* Ensuring Contracts department meet key objectives and targets
* Introduce other services to Client over and above Cranes and Lifting and take a lead role in business development
* Record Forecast of project versus budget on sales tracker

Qualifications
Preferred: Mechanical Engineering Degree or relevant technical qualification
Essential: Offshore survival & UKOOA medical
Experience, Competence, Skills & Knowledge
* Financial Skills - Understanding of Budget, CAPEX, Gross Profit & Margin
* Business Development Skills Ability to implement Client Account Management
* Previous experience in management of crane maintenance & inspection
* Ability to manage a team of crane personnel, engineers & technicians
* Performance Management skills through appraisal, training & development
