Lead Business Architect, Information and Communications Technology Unit

The European Medicines Agency (EMA), London, is looking to recruit a Lead Business Architect who provides leadership and counseling on the use of current or future methodology and technology to capture, document, design business processes, business requirements (functional and non-functional) and business concepts.

Responsibilities include:

- helping the Agency's core business through the use of business process modelling and conceptual information modelling to understand the existing business structures and mechanisms;
- writing documentation on processes and context, such as their different information elements and their relationships;
- communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (Management Board, Agency management, Agency staff etc.);
- working with the IT Architects (incl. Enterprise Architects, Lead Data Architect, Application Architects etc.) to make sure the business concepts are covered in the overall data architecture;
- making sure that requirements are mapped to or driven from within the business processes and ensuring that, where relevant, programmes and projects are aligned with any business process improvements the Agency wants to achieve;
- leading and coaching cross-Agency project teams in process analysis;
- developing Agency-wide business processes in line with plans and ensuring these integrate with organisational plans;
- developing appropriate performance measures for business processes.

You need to have a university degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, engineering or finance, a minimum of nine years' professional experience and a good command of English and a thorough knowledge of another official language of the European Union.
