PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of a Lead Business Analyst to work on the CARS Project aimed to transform the banks processes via implementation of the strategic Debt Manager system.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Analytical Environment Support and Maintenance (AESM) team provide support for 550 credit users on the Risk Infrastructure Analytical Environments such as (Le Mans, DSME and RDI). The key objectives are to ensure the overall platforms availability, security, supporting infrastructure and processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiatives.

AESM is the link between IT and Credit Risk users to ensure the platforms are positioned for compliance within agreed service levels and ensures users requirements are continually met and delivered against.

The Systems Analyst role is to support the mapping of business requirements and processes to technical specifications on the banks heritage and strategic analytical systems.  This will involve low level data analysis, process mapping, and engagement across the business teams and IT areas.

Specific detail and core responsibilities

- Liaising extensively with external or internal clients;
- Analysing clients' existing systems and data;
- Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs;
- Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability;
- Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems;
- Producing project feasibility reports;
- Presenting proposals to clients;
- Working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
- Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met;
- Planning and working flexibly to a deadline;

CORE SKILLS

- The ability to work well within a team.
- Business process mapping skills
- Stakeholder Management experience is key.
- Show well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, particularly
- The ability to convey key business information arising from complex issues to non-technical people
- Experience of financial product data, especially Credit Risk would be beneficial

DESIRED SKILLS

- An awareness of SAS technology and tools.
- Visio mapping
