Lead Building Control Surveyor

LEAD BUILDING CONTROL SURVEYOR, OXFORD, £MARKET RATE, TEMPORARY

My client, based in Oxford is looking for a Lead Building Control Survey responsible for responsible for administering and enforcing the building regulations and associated legislation, particularly relating to large, complex commercial schemes.  You will ensure the co-ordination of service delivery in a geographical area of the City and you will also be deputising for the team leader. You will promote and market the service, by providing pre-application consultancy for our major clients and developing partnerships.

YOU WILL HAVE:

- A relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Full ABE, RICS, CIOB or equivalent experience
- Significant experience in Building Control, with evidence of experience of complex commercial development and working knowledge of the Building Regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer care skills
- The capability of making balanced judgements beyond that of the standard technical guidance and putting forward rational, evidence based recommendations, using own initiative and assisting colleagues to do so too
