Global banking organisation seeking a Lead Architect o provide business-facing architecture advisory, thought leadership and delivery leadership role.The architect will need to design and estimate complex Commercial Banking solutions. The role requires individuals with a passion for the detail, an understanding of governance, deep experience in system integration, and a capability to frame and deliver a compelling argument.The successful applicant will be working with IT, Change Delivery and Business leaders to develop technology architecture strategies; communicate complex technology situations and their solutions and assess challenging technology problems providing advice and direction to resolve the issues. Your responsibilities will include: * To define and grow a high performing team of solution architects capable of delivering the highest quality solution designs applicable to Customer Sales and Service Management. * Provide quality assurance on architecture designs of Customer Relationship Management and Customer Sales and Servicing solutions in accordance to design authority governance * Champion architecture method and practice including solution components and interfaces definition techniques sufficient for engineering team to prepare technical specifications * Ensure that architecture deliverables are compliant with the stated requirements, approved technologies, best practices and group strategies * Ensure compliance with internal and external technology standards and regulatory obligations. * Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM. * Develop an expert-level understanding of the appropriate Group systems, tooling, development suite and strategies * Assist to work breakdown for planning and provide L0 estimations for development effort * Review code and documentation to ensure solutions meets the design criteria and work is of an acceptable quality The ideal candidate for this role will have: * Proven track record in pragmatic architectural/technical design in financial business systems as well as solid software development experience * Deep understanding of Web Technologies and Service and Integration solutions - knowledge of Mobile and Tablet technology a plus * Sound appreciation of the full software development life cycle, including release management * Excellent understanding of System Development Life Cycles (SDLC) - either Waterfall or Agile To find out more about Huxley Associates, please visit
