Halian International, a global IT services business, is currently seeking a Lead Architect to work for one of our clients within the IT Managed Services industry.
Based out of Doha, Qatar, this will be a fixed term 2 year contract working for one of the GCC's leading IT Solution/Services companies. Our client are the fastest growing technology company in the Middle East, and are currently playing a key role in the development of Qatar and the infrastructure surrounding it.
My client are currently delivering a multibillion dollar Smart City project on behalf of the Qatari Government. As Lead Architect, you will be responsible for combining a vision of smart and connected cities and to drive the Architectural team across Network, ELV, Applications and ICT platform domains. The purpose is to provide the Design and full integration of the 46 services on a technical, commercial and operational basis, to deliver the current largest Smart and Connected City architecture built from ground up, on time, to budget and at the required client quality
The Lead Architect must design and deliver 46 different integrated services, to client satisfaction, which will enable the Smart City to operate for the next 10 years. The integrated services include ELV and application, which enable inter-connectability between useful information and data for the client base. The candidate is expected to be a leader in the field of Smart City integrations, managing infrastructure, network, ELV and application integration teams internally and externally. The Lead Architect is expected to have wide range of ELV, Application, Systems and Network skills with a background in integration and providing service based solutions for clients. The Lead Architect will manage the Domain Architects and the Partner ELV/Application's leads directly.
This is a senior level position reporting directly into the CTO. The Lead Architect is expected to have excellent communication skills and must be confident in communicating with the client, and the internal management team, when conveying the concept and project information at high management levels. The Lead Architect will be taking technical responsibility and authority on the overall project.
To Qualify for this position, we are seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills & experience:
- Education Degree in Engineering/ICT
- 15-25 years' experience, some international roles with significant cross cultural awareness preferred
- Wide range of ELV service integrations with Applications integration
- Required Skills Projects/Program Work (Prince2 or PMP, MSP or similar)
- Service Delivery/Support ( ITIL knowledge) and experience designing ICT services
- Smart Cities project experience
- Network integrations (CISCO)
- ELV integrations required (Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Pelco, Samsung, Lenel)
- Applications integrations (desirable)
- FM systems aware (Archibus, CAFM, Manhattan)
