Lead Architect

MY CLIENT HAS OPENED A ROLE FOR A LEAD ARCHITECT TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL MIGRATION OF APPLICATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS IN A LARGE DATA RELOCATION PROJECT. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXTENSIVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR LARGE SCALE DATE CENTRE MIGRATION.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Management and delivery of all architectural and technical aspects of the program.
- Establishment and maintenance of technical governance to ensure architectural compliance to organisational standards and quality evidence-based decision-making.
- Risk and Issue management, including hands-on involvement with the resolution of critical problems.
- Development of the Business Processes, IT Service Management Process and associated Operating and Service Delivery Models required to support the organisational people and process changes introduced by the Data Centre transformation.
- Working with peer vendor and other third party architects, in either leading or supporting roles, depending on contractual arrangements.
- Business stakeholder engagement and management which will include stakeholders at all levels, from CEO/CIO through to service management specialists and technical SMEs.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Extensive demonstrated IT architectural, design and implementation experience in multiple large scale complex Data Centre migration including the development of network, security, infrastructure, data, application and integration strategies, architectures, designs (high level and detailed level), models, blueprints and roadmaps; as well as, policies, standards and application security controls.
- Recent hands-on detailed technical experience in complex Data Centre migrations including the ability to develop detailed migration documentation across all architectural/technical domains.
- Ability to independently lead all technical aspects of the Data Centre Reform Program. This will require liaison with stakeholders across all areas of the organisation.
- Exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills; as well as, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Expert level competency with the MS Office suite and other MS Products, particularly: Powerpoint, Visio, Project, Excel and Word.
