Lead ABAP Developer to Lead a team of up to 10 SAP ABAP Developers

For our customer - based in Zurich - we are looking for an experienced.

LEAD ABAP DEVELOPER TO LEAD A TEAM OF UP TO 10 SAP ABAP DEVELOPERS

For a long term (12++ months) contract.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

- Insurance industry experience in the area of financial accounting and/or controlling
- Experienced to conduct and lead workshops and to cover financial accounting and controlling topics from a development perspective
- Well experienced in source system integration in SAP environment
- Well experienced in ABAP development in a SAP FI/CO environment
- Experienced in the deployment/localization of SAP CORE solutions
- Experienced to analyze functional interface requirements and to define technical specifications

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

- Ability to understand functional interface and program requirements and develop standardized solutions
- Ability to design and document an integrated system landscape
- Strong SAP ABAP skills, any other programming language as an asset
- Written and spoken English
- GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS ARE AN ASSET

GENERAL

- Strong FI/CO experience
- Able to LEAD A TEAM OF UP TO 10 DEVELOPERS
- Experience with near or off shore models

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Lead realization activities for ABAP developments and own deliverables from a development perspective
- Define and plan work packages and allocate them to the team resource
- Track developments
- Status reporting on developments
- Identify/realize corresponding IT harmonization potentials across European Business Units
- Support, review and validate functional specifications
- Write technical specifications
- Review and enhance local Change Requests for the ones requiring ABAP development
- Perform ABAP developments based on technical specifications
- Perform unit testing
- Support integration testing (defect fixing)
- Support migration activities
- Act as contact point for all related IT developments questions
- Support and follow-up monthly effort/cost reporting (central/local, actual/ETC vs. plan/budget)
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of the integrated overall project plan (central/local, main activities/deliverables incl. critical path)
