The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a large European site in central Brussels as follows:- We are urgently looking for a Freelance (Open) LDAP administrator for our customer. Location: center of Brussels;
Duration: 1 year + possible extensions;
Start date: February 2013 (ASAP);
Language: English (mandatory).
Please note that services need to be performed on site in the offices of the customer.; Shifts are to be foreseen.
DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION:
Resolve complex system problems within agreed SLA; Provide LDAP service support (3rd line); Log analysis; Problem investigation.
Write technical documentation; Write comprehensive Incident Records
Provide statistical data for reporting; Willing to do standby (24/7 including holidays) 1 week every 3 to 4 weeks; Shifts: 8 working hours per day, between 8AM and 8PM, under planning agreed in advance
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROFILE:
Typically secondary/high school qualified with a relevant technical qualification and/or certifications; At least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Experienced and familiar with Unix environment; Experience with LDAP administration (Openldap, Redhat, Oracle OID, Iplanet Directory server, Sun Directory server); Database administration: performance tuning, statistics, when to use certain database options, using jobs, backup schemes; Experience in very large environments; Nice to have: JAVA, Citrix and/or ePO skills in order to contribute to these services too on a 3rd level support SOFT SKILL: Knowledge of French and technical English; Team Spirit; Good inter-personal skills; Flexible; Proactive; Good analytical mindset.
