POSITION: LARGE COMPLEX IT HOUSTING
DURATION: 3-6 MONTHS
LOCATION: AMSTERDAM

Minimum of HBO level (Polytechnic)
Team player with own initiative
Flexible and service oriented mentalitity
Strong analytical capacities
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a (complex) IT/hosting environment
The world of the console doesn't know any secrets for you
Able to solve performance bottlenecks independently and to fulfil optimalisation requests
High availability and security are guaranteed
Proven expertise of and experience with (web) server maintenance (Red Hat) Linux, Windows server) in combination with webservers (Apache, Nginx, IIS etc.)
Profound knowledge and experience with VMWare ESX
Profound knowledge of Internet protocolls (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP etc.)
Experience with the maintenance of networks, load-balancers and Firewalls
Able to developscriptsand to adapt them
Relevant work experience with the maintenance of databases (in particular with MySQL, MongoDB en MS-SQL)
Experience with Varnish is an advantage
Experience with (web)server and application deployment tools is an advantage (Capistrano/Webistrano, Puppet etc.)
Experience with monitoring solutionsis an advantage (especially in the area of Nagios & Cacti)
You have proven experience with (large) hosting environments
Excellent communicative and social skills
You have no problem with working extra standby hours
