LANDESK ADMIN ENGINEER

SKILLS: LANDesk 9.5, Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Support, Batchfile configuration

SUMMARY:
As a member of the Endpoint Operations team this individual's primary responsibility will be support, implementation and operation of the LANDesk 9.5 environment.  Develop and implement LDMS and LDSS processes and transfer knowledge to current staff.  Major areas of focus will be software deployment, patch management, image deployment and LanDesk support processes to streamline level 1 and level 2 technician support processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with the Endpoint Engineering and Endpoint Operations team to develop, implement and document new LanDesk processes.
- Packaging & deploying new and upgraded software to a highly mobile workforce and volunteer group.
- Workstation Patch Management.
- Manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Develop and document new processes while maintaining current processes.
- Resolve LanDesk related issues concerning Workstation & server problem resolution.
- Provide professional opinions across all groups within IT and the Business.
- Work on call or after hours for support of endpoint applications.
- Level 2 & Level 3 troubleshooting to resolve LDMS and LDSS issues with endpoints and applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3 - 5 year of experience managing and engineering endpoint solutions. With a minimum of 10 years combined experience in the IT support field.
- 3-5 years of current LANDesk experience.
- Skill set will include both LANDesk Management Suite and Security Suite.
- Patch Management of Endpoints &Servers - Deployment and problem resolution.
- LanDesk workflow integration with LDMS, LDSS, and ALM.
- LanDesk ALM server support and integration of data with LDMS.
- Software packaging and deployment.
- LANDesk Gateway administration and troubleshooting.
- LANDesk core server administration and troubleshooting of agents and certificates.
- Has extensive knowledge of Scripting and/or batch file configurations to execute tasks on endpoints and software distribution packages.
- Has working knowledge of SQL, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory.
