LAN/WAN Consultant - VLAN - London - £350 per day

Large London based organisation is looking for a WAN/LAN consultant as the client has implemented a new date Centre and gone for VLAN for the first time. They need someone to come in and run a Health Check and help them identify weak points - and fix these too.

They are looking for someone who can do the following:

* LAN and VLAN design assessment
* Ability to suggest pragmatic suggestions (rather than long term redesign) to fix and to follow through with hand on implementation.
* Provide guidance and expertise on LAN management and monitoring tools
* Documentation skill to record proposals and solutions

They are looking for a consultant with the following skills and expertise:

* LAN
* VLAN
* Detailed troubleshooting skills
* Problem solving skills
* Problem management - facilitating between different technical stakeholders
* All major protocols and detail packet level
* Using detail network analysis and security tools (Spanning tree)
* Understanding of the roles different network components (Primarily HP switches with CISCO firewall and Routers) have in controlling/filtering relevant and non relevant traffic (at all different levels, eg Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc)
